Stored data
What does ReadyStow store?
ReadyStow is designed to store copied text, formatted text, image history, and file or folder metadata locally on your PC so you can find and reuse it later. The exact retention behavior may change during beta.
Are passwords stored?
ReadyStow tries to avoid overclaiming perfect detection of passwords, secrets, API keys, or confidential text. If you copy sensitive material, it may remain in history, so use the beta carefully.
Is my clipboard history sent outside my PC?
ReadyStow is not designed to upload clipboard history to an external server. Feedback that you submit through the website is sent intentionally to SmallBuildLab.
Can I delete history?
ReadyStow is designed around history deletion and retention controls, but beta details may change. Check the in-app guidance before relying on a specific deletion workflow.
Install and removal
Can I uninstall it?
The app is expected to be uninstallable from Windows settings. Stored history data may require a separate cleanup step depending on the beta version.
Why might Windows show a warning?
New Windows apps and private beta installers can trigger SmartScreen or similar warnings, especially before broad reputation or signing history exists.
What should I do if I cannot download it?
Check the Download and Private beta pages first. If the path is protected, you may need the access method provided with your invitation.
How do I update from an older version?
During beta, follow the distribution notes and run the newer installer. Review history deletion or backup guidance before updating if your history matters.
Use conditions
Should I use this on a work PC?
For the beta, personal PCs are recommended. If you use a company PC, follow workplace security and information management rules first.
Is it free?
The private beta is expected to be free to try. Future pricing or licensing has not been decided yet.
