Privacy

No sensitive input is stored in usage events.

SmallBuildLab is designed to measure demand with minimal anonymous event data.

Why we collect data

SmallBuildLab publishes small prototype tools to understand which product ideas have real demand before building full products.

Data we store

We store anonymous IDs, session IDs, experiment slugs, event names, timestamps, paths, referrers, UTM parameters, device/browser/OS summaries, and safe metadata such as counts, ranges, options, and processing duration.

Data we do not store

We do not store clipboard text, notification text, email bodies, screenshots, images, real file names, project label text, exact payment details, passwords, API keys, or confidential business data in usage events.

Anonymous IDs

We use localStorage to keep a random anonymous_id and session_id in your browser. They are not login accounts and disappear if you clear browser data.

Waitlist email

If you join a waitlist, we store your email address and a salted hash so we can avoid duplicate signups for the same experiment.

Feedback

Feedback messages are stored because the message itself is the content you intentionally submit. Please avoid sensitive personal or business information.

External analytics

GA4 or Microsoft Clarity may be enabled only when configured. These tools are supplemental; SmallBuildLab's own event table remains the source for experiment demand signals.

Data deletion

Request deletion by contacting the operator through the configured contact email. Include the email used for waitlist signup if relevant.
